Questions
What ages is the camp for?
Our summer camp is designed for children ages 5 to 15. Activities and instruction are tailored by age group so every camper is engaged and appropriately challenged.
What kind of art projects do campers create?
We offer a rich variety of projects including watercolor, tempera, and acrylic painting, as well as 3-D creations using paper, cardboard, plastic, and clay. Campers also explore drawing, cartoons, jewelry-making, mosaics, and collages—and so much more!
Is the camp academic or more free-form?
Both! We combine structured academic-style art instruction with fun, experimental projects that spark imagination and creativity. Each child works on individual projects at their own pace and style.
Do campers work on group or individual projects?
Campers typically work on individual projects but can work together if they choose to.
What should my child bring to camp?
Please pack a nut-free lunch and a water bottle each day. Campers should wear art-friendly clothes—creativity can get messy!
What are the camp hours?
Our standard camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Select sessions also offer afternoon camps from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please check the schedule for specific dates.
Will my child really enjoy it?
We hear this all the time: “Please don’t be my parents yet!” at pickup. We’re proud to say that kids often don’t want to leave—and they leave with beautiful, meaningful art they’re proud of.
What makes Blue Giraffe different?
Our focus isn’t just on “pretty pictures”—we help kids discover their inner creativity and give them the tools to make it shine. It’s about self-expression, confidence, and joy in art-making.
